Retrograde
Key Term ยท Apparent backward motion
Retrograde is not a planet moving backwards. It is the sky's way of asking you to revisit what you thought was finished.
What it means
A planet is retrograde when, from Earth's viewpoint, it appears to travel in reverse. Because retrogrades are about the past coming forward, they are traditionally read as a call to review, revise, and return rather than to push ahead. Mercury's retrogrades get the publicity, but every planet turns retrograde, and they are not catastrophes. They are second passes.
In your chart
A retrograde planet in your chart often indicates an energy you first turn inward and must learn to express consciously. Read that planet's house and sign to see where in life you revisit before you advance.
