Synastry is the art of laying two birth charts side by side and reading the conversation between them.
What it means
In synastry, one person's planets fall into the other's houses and form aspects with their placements. Those contacts describe attraction, friction, comfort, and growth. Sun to Moon connections feel like recognition, Mars to Venus connections feel like chemistry, and Saturn contacts feel like commitment or burden. A chart comparison says nothing about destiny. It describes the terrain a relationship will be walked across.

To read synastry you need both charts and reasonably accurate birth times, since the houses matter. Your own chart stays the same. What changes is which of your placements the other person's sky reaches, and how.
