Lucy in the Sky (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a free astrology service that provides personalized readings based on your birth date, time, and location. No membership, subscription, or payment is required to use the app or generate readings. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Birth details: The date, time, and location of birth you enter to generate a reading. This is needed to calculate your astrological chart.
• Account information: If you choose to create an account, your email address and password (or social login details). An account is optional — you can use the app and generate readings without one.
• Saved charts: Any readings you choose to save when signed in, along with the names and birth details you assign to them.
• Email opt-in: If you subscribe to the weekly transit email, the email address you provide. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Optional purchases: When you request a deep birth chart reading, payment is processed by our payment provider (Base44 Payments / Wix). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Contact messages: If you reach out through the contact form, the name, email, and message you provide.
• Usage data: Basic information such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address) and how you interact with the app, used for rate limiting and service improvement.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate and deliver your personalized astrology readings.
• To save and retrieve your charts across sessions (when you have an account).
• To send you email readings you request, including the weekly transit email if you opt in.
• To process optional one-time purchases for deep chart readings.
• To respond to messages you send through the contact form.
• To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits on free content.
• To improve the quality and accuracy of our readings over time.

AI-Generated Content

Your readings are generated by artificial intelligence using your birth details and astrological calculations. The AI provider may process your input to produce the reading text. We do not use your birth data to train external models.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us operate the app:

• Our hosting and database platform (Base44 / Wix).
• The AI provider that generates reading text.
• Our payment processor for optional deep chart reading purchases.
• Email delivery services when you request an emailed reading or subscribe to the weekly transit email.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Data Retention

We keep your saved charts and account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual saved charts at any time within the app, or delete your entire account from the Account tab. Email subscriptions remain until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are retained to respond to your inquiry and are deleted upon request.

Your Rights

• Access the birth details and readings stored in your account.
• Delete saved charts or your entire account at any time.
• Unsubscribe from the weekly transit email at any time.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Use the app without an account — no personal data is stored beyond your session.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission and secure storage. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access.

Children’s Privacy

Lucy in the Sky is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect birth data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows the last update. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
